Premium Times reports that the former
Speaker of the Kebbi State House of
Assembly, Aminu Musa Habib Jega, has died
in an auto accident.

According to sources close to Mr Jega’s
family, the accident occurred along Birnin
Kebbi-Kangiwa road at about 5.21pm on
Friday, April 15.
The ex-speaker was also the Special Adviser
on Local Government to the
incumbent governor of Kebbi state, Abubakar
Atiku Bagudu.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor
Abubakar Dakingari, while confirming the
death on phone said: “ We are currently
attending his burial according to Islamic right
in Jega.”

It would be recalled that late Mr Jega was
impeached last year during the buildup to
the 2015 general election amidst rumours
about his plans to decamp to the then
opposition party — All Progressives Congress
(APC).
