WHY I WILL NEVER CONGRATULATE UWAJIMOGU
By FCC Jones
If Uwajimogu's presumptive victory had come with the slightest respect to the wishes of Okigwe people, I would have been one of the first people to congratulate him on his victory. But the more I dig into the facts and figures of that election, the more incensed I become over this mind bending rape of our democracy.
Democracy means nothing if the majority will cannot be allowed to thrive. Uwajimogu;s presumptive victory is not very different from a coup or some feudalistic coronation of a stooge.
The reality is that PDP won this election in the six LGAs of Okigwe zone, but the majority will was thwarted with monies stolen from the people, with guns that were supposed to be used to protect the people and by individuals who stole the people blind through the public offices they have held and still hold.
If these people knew that this is the only way they could have won this election, why did they allow innocent voters to waste their time. From INEC, the Police, the Army, the NSCDC, and other institutions of government, all we got is disappointment; betrayal of public trust.
Uwajimogu has got good reasons not to represent the ordinary people of Okigwe zone, but those on whose back he is likely climbing to Abuja.
