International Association of World Peace Advocates honours his Excellency Amb Paul Chibueze Okwara and Amb Engr Peter Chinyere Okwara.

International Association of World peace advocates at a programme held to celebrate the 2016 United Nations World Intellectual property day, awarded Eminent Nigerians as world peace Ambassadors.

The programme which was hosted for the first time in Abia State was held at Royal Damgrete hotel, Umuahia. It was an opportunity to recognize some individuals who have contributed immensely in the promotion of peace in Nigeria.

While moderating the event, the international spokesman Amb. Dr Emma Nkweke revealed that the body received 560 nominations but chose 16 outstanding persons based on their striking antecedents at promoting peace, unity and philanthropic gestures for helping  widows, orphans and the less privileged . The event was also an opportunity to raise fund for Ecuador victims.

The height of the occasion was the presentation of awards, certificates and membership ID card to Bar Paul and Engr Peter Okwara who are known globally for their philanthropic gestures.

Peter and Paul were born twins from Aku kingdom , Amaekpu, Ohafia L.GA. Their wealth and management acumen has open ways for Nigerians and business both in the country and in diaspora. Amb. Paul has a degree in law while peter holds a degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Both of them are into business and have used their links to brink investment and development to the country.

The Twins as they are fondly called by friends are Founders and Directors of many businesses in Nigeria such as Blueday industries, SoftXChange Ltd, Ebi 80 Ltd, Ohafia Amalgamated Union, Atlante Resources Technologies Ltd amongst others.  They are both Non executive members of African Forum for Conflict Resolution and Family Integration.

Today, Peter and Paul were bestowed with eminent peace Ambassador awards.
In their response, they promised to do more as the award has spurred and encourage them.

Other award recipients are Amb. Cecilia Ezeilo, Dep. Governor, Enugu State,  Hon. Martin Azubuike, Speaker Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Amana , Chairman Obot Akara LGA, Akwaibom, Dr Ifeanyi Uba, Dr Una Akobundu, Kenneth Okonkwo, Frank Ukpa among others.
